Khan had earlier called hosting the controversial reality show a 'hassle' and said he was 'unsure' of returning to the show. With that issue being settled, the superstar has finally shot for the promos of the hit show. Due to a tight packed schedule, plans of filming the promos in Bangkok were stalled and instead they were shot in Karjat, Mumbai.
A Bollywood Life report stated, "Apparently, Salman, who is currently shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' in Karjat decided to shoot the 'Bigg Boss' promo there due to time constraints."
The "Kick" actor, who has hosted the show for three consecutive years, reportedly said that while the format teaches a lot, it takes a toll. After making biased remarks on two of the contestants in the last season, the actor found himself amid a major controversy. Slammed for being partial, Khan tweeted expressing his disappointment over the matter.
Likely to go on air by the end of August, the makers haven't zeroed in on the contestants yet. Names such as Sunil Grover, Poonam Pandey and Rashmi Desai are doing the rounds, and a source close to the development has confirmed Karishma Tanna's name as one of the participants of this season.
Reports were rife that actress Ameesha Patel has been approached for the show. Quite obviously, the miffed Patel tweeted rubbishing reports.
"4 all those free people who have nothing betr to do than to spread rumors..I'm not gonna b in bigg boss 8 9 10 11 12 or any big boss.." Ameesha Patel tweeted on 10 August.
With just a few weeks left for the launch, these rumours are only making viewers more interested.
