Reality TV star Kim Kardashian sure knows how to make headlines. After posing bare-bodied for a popular magazine, she will now enter the ever-controversial "Bigg Boss 8" (BB8) house.
According to the latest reports, the makers have agreed to pay a whopping ₹85 lakh to Kardashian to appear on the show. If rumours have anything to go by, the expensive deal was sealed to raise the TRP ratings of the show.
"The hush-hush deal was struck a few days ago with Kim finally signing on the dotted line and giving her approval for doing this stint. The move is being seen as a desperate attempt on the channel's part to boost the falling TRP's as this season has got them their lowest numbers compared to the last few seasons," stated a Bollywood Life report.
Premiered on 21 September, "BB8" opened to a thunderous response garnering a 7.9 TVT rating, but faced tough competition from "Satyamev Jayate", which picked up in the weeks following the first episode.
However, in order to spike the interest of the viewers and to retain the same, the makers have given the show its three new wild card entrants – Dimpy Mahajan, Renee Dhyani, and Nigaar Khan. But, looks like the viewers are yet to witness spicy controversies.
In other news, it is being speculated that the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" face will visit the sets with her massive team comprising bodyguard, make up artist, masseur and one of her sisters.
To be aired on 22 November, the 34-year-old star will reportedly be host Salman Khan's special guest on "Weekend ka Vaar" and will interact with the contestants. However, Kardashian's maiden trip to India is part of a world tour to promote her latest line of perfumes "Fleur Fatale".
