The controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 8" crowned Gautam Gulati as the winner, while the first runner-up title went to Karishma Tanna.
Karishma, who had mentioned in the show that she was in a committed relationship, raised eyebrows when she displayed affection for contestant Upen Patel towards the end of the show.
While fans lovingly named the couple 'Upma', many believed that the romance between Karishma and Upen was fake and that the former plotted a romantic angle only to survive in the game show.
The sexy lady received backlash by her co-contestants as well as many viewers for developing a love affair inside the house without formally ending her previous relationship.
However, the TV actress defended herself and said that her feeling for the "36 China Town" actor was real.
"My feelings for Upen were real. I am not a person to compromise on my priorities and family just for a show. I was true to him and to my feelings. I will never create a romantic angle to survive on a game show." Karishma told PTI.
"We, however, haven't decided about the future. I have not thought about it right now. Let's see where it goes." the lady added.
Speaking about her competitor and winner of the season Gautam, Karishma mentioned that she is happy that they began the journey together and continued till the end of the show.
"We started out as enemies but later on became cordial because the show has such a format that you keep breaking up and then patching up. We stopped getting into each others' matters. Competition and rivalry was there in the tasks but otherwise we were fine with each other. We began together and ended together so I am happy about that," she said.
The gorgeous lady also mentioned that her stay inside the mad house helped her become less stubborn and also made her a better person in many ways.
