Reality show "Bigg Boss" is known for its controversy. Since its inception in 2007, the show has often landed into legal trouble, and the ongoing season eight is no different.
"Bigg Boss 8", hosted by Salman Khan, has landed into fresh legal hassles for its adult content.
Gautam Gulati and Diandra Soares's lip lock might have boosted the TRP of the controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 8", but it also landed the makers into legal trouble.
An activist from Pune has reportedly filed a written application against the makers of the controversial show for airing the lip locking scene between lovebirds Gautam-Diandra.
The activist in its application asked the makers not to show such sensational scenes on national television as it's a family show.
On 3 December's episode, Diandra shocked the contestants when she smooched Gautam. The couple did kiss each other in front of the inmates, but the makers only aired the part in which Diandra was seen coming to close to Gautam.
Keeping in mind that it's a family show, the makers didn't air the kissing scene, but they still received a complaint.
However, no action has been taken against the makers of the show.
A senior police inspector confirmed the news saying that they did receive an application, but the activist hasn't filed a complaint against it.
"Yes, an application has been filed against Endermol production for showing the smooching scene. But it's not a complaint; through a written application, the activist has just requested the makers of the show to not show such sensational scenes on national television as children are also watching it. We have already informed the makers about the same," Daily Bhaskar quoted senior inspector I.S.Patil from Lonavala as saying.
