On the first episode of Bigg Boss 10, Akansha Sharma, who entered the show as a commoner, shocked millions of viewers when she revealed that she was married to cricketer Yuvraj Singh's younger brother Zorawar.
Akansha, while speaking about herself on Salman Khan's show, said that her marriage to Zorawar lasted for four months before she decided to part ways. She said on Bigg Boss 10 that although she had no issues with the cricketer or her estranged husband, she indirectly blamed her mother-in-law Shabnam Singh for the failed marriage. She alleged that she was ill-treated by Shabnam and had no option but to part ways.
Akansha's revelation raised quite a few eyebrows on Yuvraj and his family. And now, the cricketer's mother has reacted to the allegations. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shabnam said: "First of all, this matter is sub judice and she (Akansha) is not allowed to speak. It goes under the contempt of court. There's a special petition I had filed. Anyone can understand the agenda here and everybody knows it. We are not allowed to speak on this matter."
She further added that she too has a lot to say about the 25-year-old but will not get into the dirt. "Somebody has to take the brunt, so it's fine if it's me. God bless, is all I can say to her. Let her go on and say what she has to say. Even I have enough to talk and share my side of the story. But I just don't want to get into any mud-slinging. She's also someone's daughter and she's doing what she's being instructed to."
Yuvraj's mother, however, is surprised that Akansha chose to speak up about the alleged cruelty after two-and-half years of the broken relationship. She also pointed out that it was the Singh family who first filed for divorce due to some very strong reasons.
The estranged couple is currently fighting for their divorce and the case is yet to be settled. In the meantime, Bigg Boss 10 viewers can expect some more shocking revelations about Akansha's troubled marriage during her stay inside the house.
