Shah Rukh Khan and Salman don't hold back in showing their fondness for one another. From promoting each other's films on social media to taking off impromptu bicycle rides across the city of Mumbai, the stars are clearly making up for the time that was lost because of the seven-year-long cold war.
Last year, SRK was on Bigg Boss along with Kajol to talk about their film Dilwale. This year, his fans thought he would share the stage with Salman on the show to promote Dear Zindagi, but it will only be Alia Bhatt from the cast. Salman was apparently upset that Shah Rukh chose to ditch BB10 and even enquired Alia why he didn't show up, BollywoodLife reported.
However, SRK has the perfect explanation. The superstar reportedly doesn't want to promote Dear Zindagi aggressively because that would take away the limelight away from Alia and then it would be unfair because the Gauri Shinde-directed film is all about the young actress.
In the sneak-peek videos shared on social media, Alia is seen slow dancing to Jag Ghoomeya, while Salman does his signature step from the song. She will be on Sunday's Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
Dear Zindagi focuses on Kaira's (Alia) many problems she finds tough to come to terms with. Helping her embrace life's little imperfections is therapist Jahangir Khan (Shah Rukh).
Scheduled to be released on November 25, the slice-of-life film is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions. Dear Zindagi also stars Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Zafar and Angad Bedi in key roles.
