Even as speculation regarding the list of participants of controversial reality television show Bigg Boss 10, hosted by Salman Khan, has been doing the rounds, the first confirmed contestant has been revealed.
Television actor Mayur Verma, who plays the role of Karthik Malhotra in Swaragini, has confirmed his participation in the show. Last season, Mayur's ex-girlfriend Marina Kuwar had appeared as a wild card contestant in Bigg Boss 9.
The actor told Bollywood Life: "I have been selected as a contestant in upcoming Bigg Boss 10. Last year in Season 9, I had been nominated as a wild card contestant, but as it was right after my breakup with Marina, I thought of refraining from sharing same screen space. But this time, I am very much looking forward to being on the show."
VJ Bani of MTV Roadies fame is likely to participate in the upcoming season as well. However, no confirmation has been made regarding the same. Other possible celebrity contestants of Bigg Boss 10 are Rahul Raj Singh, who happens to be late television actress Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend, Bollywood actor Shiny Ahuja, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai child actress Sana Saeed aka Anjali and gay rights activist Nakshatra Bagwe.
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 10 will kick-start from Oct. 16 on Colors TV channel. The show will be telecast at 10.30 pm from Monday to Friday, and at 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The new season will see commoners participating on the show along with celebrities.
