While fans of the controversial show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan, are eagerly waiting for the 10th edition to go on air, it has been revealed that Bigg Boss 10 will start on 16 October on Colors television channel.
Colors CEO Raj Nayak announced the telecast date through his official Twitter handle. The show will be telecast at 10:30pm from Monday to Friday, and at 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Unlike the previous seasons, in which only celebrities participated on the show, this time, the latest instalment will feature common people confined to the glass-walled house, along with celebrities, and competing with each other to win the coveted trophy.
Recently, the Tubelight actor advised the contestants that no strategy would work inside the Bigg Boss house and that participants would have to use their presence of mind to survive on the show. "Bigg Boss is one show where no strategy works. It's like a blank slate in a lot of ways where the contestants have to carve their own path. What really works is presence of mind," Salman said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the makers have been successful in keeping the list of contestants and the theme of the upcoming season under wraps. While the first promo of Bigg Boss 10 with Salman as an astronaut hinted at a spacecraft-centric theme, in the second promo Salman said that anyone from a wrestler to a newspaper distributor can be a part of this season.
The latest buzz is that VJ Bani is likely to enter the new season of Bigg Boss. "If all goes well, Bani will be a part of Bigg Boss 10," a source told SpotboyE. Bani, of the MTV Roadies fame, is said to have been finalised by the makers earlier last week.
Rumours also had it that the controversial self-styled god-woman, Radhe Maa, was approached to take part on the show as a celebrity contestant. Other possible celebrity contestants of Bigg Boss 10 are Rahul Raj Singh, who happens to be late television actress Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend; Bollywood actor Shiny Ahuja; Kuch Kuch Hota Hai child actress Sana Saeed aka Anjali; and gay rights activist Nakshatra Bagwe.
