There are still a few months to go before the tenth edition of "Bigg Boss" hits television screens, but the makers have already triggered excitement among the viewers. The first promo is out and it's a call for the commoners who wish to be part of the high-voltage reality show.
The 36-second-long clip begins with a game of cricket at a neighbourhood, during which the pacer and batsman get into a heated argument over the latter's dismissal. Just when they get to exchanging blows, Bigg Boss, in his rich baritone voice, invites the the bowler to the "Bigg Boss" house for being fearless.
The clip also provides viewers with crucial information, which they can use to register themselves for the show.
Earlier this year, Colors CEO Raj Nayak told the media that the reality show team was planning on scouting for contestants from among the public. Those applying will need to upload a three-minute-long video here justifying why she/he is fit for the format of the show. Entries close May 31.
"You could be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, teacher, preacher, banker, entrepreneur, homemaker, taxi driver, coolie, from any domain, any socio-economic background, have any calibre, if you think you are an entertainer, then this is the break that you have been looking for," he told India Today.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan, who will resume hosting duties with "Bigg Boss 10," has reportedly hiked his fee for the show by 30 percent. Last season, he charged Rs. 6 to Rs. 8 crore per episode.
"He is one of the reasons the reality show gets a high TRP and the makers don't want to compromise on that. Therefore, they have agreed to give him the hike. He is already the highest paid TV show host," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
