Karan Mehra became the first celebrity contestant to get evicted from Bigg Boss 10. The former Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor's elimination shocked millions of his fans, who had voted in large numbers to save him from being ousted from the controversial show.
When asked about his thoughts on his elimination, Karan told Bollywood Life: "Personally, I was very happy to come out. But just a day prior to my eviction, I started to get this feeling that I will be the one to leave the house this week. So I was prepared, to be honest."
However, this was for the first time that a contestant was evicted, not just based on votes, but content as well. Since Karan wasn't providing enough entertainment on the show, he was shown the exit door. In other words, it was the makers and the Colors' channel that took the decision of evicting Karan.
Talking about the same, Karan said that it is unfair on the makers' part to evict him, however, he is happy that he left the house with his dignity intact. "This week's elimination was decided on the basis of both votes and the content. That's what I heard. I don't think, it's ever been done, not in this season definitely. So it's very unfair. If that's how they want to do the show, then I am more than happy to be out. For me what matters the most is that I left that house with my dignity intact," Karan added.
Besides Karan, the last Weekend Ka Vaar with Salman Khan also saw commoner Lokesh Kumari being evicted from the show.
