Television's favourite star Karan Mehra has become the first celebrity to get evicted from the Bigg Boss 10 house. Mehra, who was said to be one of the highest paid actors in the house, was evicted on Saturday night in a double elimination process.
This Saturday, Bigg Boss 10 host Salman Khan announced during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode that there will be double evictions and Mehra was the first one to get eliminated. In the fourth week, Mehra was nominated along with Rahul Dev, Monalisa and Lokesh Kumari. However, it remains to be seen who among the remaining three nominated contestants – Dev, Monalisa and Kumari – will be shown the exit door on Sunday night.
Interestingly, the contestants in the house are not aware of the double elimination process this week. On Sunday, host Khan will stun the contestants by announcing the double elimination.
Meanwhile, Mehra's exit has come as a shocker to several, as he was the most popular contestant this year. Reports also suggest that Mehra had received the highest votes this time, but he was still evicted from the house. According to DNA, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor was not entertaining.
"Karan Mehra is extremely popular as a TV star and he got a lot of votes. He was definitely not in the bottom two. Monalisa and Rahul Dev got lesser votes than Karan but the Bigg Boss creative team decided to evict him this week as he has been pretty boring on the show, despite being a popular draw," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The Weekend ka Vaar episodes featuring Khan will be aired on Colors at 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The most popular reality show can also be viewed online on Colors' Voot.
