BIGBANG member G-Dragon a.k.a Kwon Ji-yong has achieved another milestone. The Korean rapper is ranked no. 3 among the most influential celebrities in China, according to a survey conducted by Chinese media outlet Sina, Allkpop reported.
It appears that the "Heartbreaker" singer's fame has spread not just at home in Korea, but across the world. G-Dragon a.k.a Kwon Ji-yong has overtaken several Chinese artists such as former EXO member Luhan, Li Yifeng and Yang Mi in the rankings table. With this, Big Bang's G-Dragon has become the first international star to enter the top 10 "Most Influential Star" list.
Sina released the results of their survey March 22 after collecting information on the celebrity's influence and fan support on Weibo.
G-Dragon, 27, who celebrated the band's 10-year anniversary, recently collaborated with rapper M.I.A and DJ Baauer of "Harlem Shake" fame. Their song titled "Temple" explores "what music can be like when geographical boundaries are surpassed and conventions are broken," observed Billboard.
"Temple" marks the "Crooked" singer's second collaboration with a non-Korean producer. In 2014, G-Dragon collaborated with Diplo and 2NE1's CL on Skrillex's song, "Dirty Vibe."
