Korean pop star G-Dragon has always held a special relationship with Justin Bieber. The "BIGBANG" rapper has been linked with Justin on numerous occasions. According to rumours, the two apparently collaborated for a new song in January 2015 but YG Entertainment denied it. Nevertheless, it seems G-Dragon has struck a new collaboration with Justin Bieber this time.
And for his part, G-Dragon has taken on the task of promoting Justin's new song, "What Do You Mean" on his Instagram account. Recently, the Korean rapper held a placard saying, "Justin Bieber. 6 Days. What Do You Mean." He captioned the photo, "This is Worldwide. What Do You Mean?#6Days"
G-Dragon is the latest Kpop star to endorse Justin's highly anticipated new song, which is scheduled to be released on Friday, 28 August.
Earlier, 2NE1's CL also showed her support for Justin Bieber on her Instagram account, reported MWave.
Justin's new song has been promoted by a slew of celebrities such as Ellen Degeneres, Ashton Kutcher, Ariana Grande, Shaquille O′Neal, Gigi Hadid, Carly Rae Jepson and more.
Billboard reported on Justin's star spangled social media campaign for "What Do You Mean" and stated that there has been an overwhelming sense of camaraderie between the Canadian popstar and his friends in the music industry.
"I can't tell you how easy it's been, because of all the good will people have towards him. There's been a real sentiment of, 'All right, young man. Let's kick some ass," said Steve Bartels, CEO of Derf Jam, the label producing Justin Bieber's album.
Bartels further stated that the social media blitz will continue until Justin releases his new album, which is rumoured to be released on 13 November, according to Billboard.
