Two teams - Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat -- in desperate need of a win lock horns on Monday night at the Etihad Stadium in what promises to be a pulsating Big Bash League 03 encounter.

The Renegades were as poor as they could be with the bat in their last match, against the Perth Scorchers, failing to chase down a small target of 118.
Looking on course for a comfortable win at 38 for no loss the Renegades batting lineup collapsed alarmingly to finish the game on 111 for eight, for a six-run loss.
Skipper Aaron Finch, whose side have now lost two straight matches, admitted the team's batting had been terrible on the day."Our batting was embarrassing," Finch, who scored 15, said. "My wicket was very poor. I targeted that over as one that we could pretty much win the game from, and I tried to target Yasir.
"It didn't work. We just lost all our momentum when I played a shocking shot. There's going to be no champagne popping after failing to chase 117. Especially from the top six. We were poor.
"Everyone's disappointed. But at the end of the day, everyone's been in situations like this where you should have won the game but didn't."
Finch said there was no point in dwelling on the loss and the Renegades would look to bounce back against the Heat at their home ground on Monday.
"The one thing you can't do in this game is go back into your shell, and we definitely won't be," he added. "When you are 0-2 and starting down the barrel of leaving the competition early, I think that can free you up a lot.
"We know we have to win four, probably five games to get into the finals. It's going to be tough. But we're confident in our group. We've got some very good players. They're all proven Twenty20 players."
The Heat are also looking for their first win of Big Bash 03, having succumbed to a stunning loss to the Hobart Hurricanes in their previous match. Brisbane scored a massive 209 for three at the Gabba on Saturday night, which was then the highest score in the Big Bash, only to see the Hurricanes chase down the total in some style.
The Brisbane Heat will have to do without the services of their skipper James Hopes, however, who has been ruled out of the match with an abdominal muscle strain. Daniel Vettori will captain the side in Hopes' absence.
