The Big Bang Theory Season 12 returns on September 24 and as excited as we are, it might just be last we see of the geniuses. However, at the San Diego Comic Con 2018 show runner Steve Holland and the cast members assured their audience that even though they won't be leaving any "loose ends" with the next season finale, there are stories they would want to tell. Hello, Season 13.
To everyone's delight, they also hinted at what's coming next. Season 11 ended with Sheldon Cooper and Amy Fowler (Mayim Bialik) walking down the aisle. Next, the couple will be seen enjoying on their honeymoon. However, what would be more interesting to see is if Sheldon botches it all up in true Sheldon style.
"We've talked for years about how smart Sheldon is and we've seen it some too, but it was important for us to give him a big win and actually show that he is as smart as we've said he is all this time," The Hollywood Reporter quoted Holland as saying. The producer also added that this would be an interesting plot point, especially now that Sheldon and Amy would work together as a team.
Another highlight of the show would be where writers tie a Young Sheldon story arc with Season 12. Apparently, Sheldon will be seen talking about Tam Nguyen, his childhood best friend, after all these years on the show. The crossover story will be sort of a "mystery," Holland suggested.
Now that most of the cast is married, with some of them even raising babies, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) is the only eligible bachelor left or maybe not. At the comic con, the actor said his character will focus on looking for a love interest this coming season and joked that there should be a Old And Fat Raj instead of Young Sheldon.
For the uninitiated, The Big Bang Theory is a story about four Cal Tech friends, Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wolowitz, Rajesh Koothrappalli, who are brilliant minds in their own non-conventional ways. It's one of the most longest-running shows that has aired 280 episodes so far.
