The Big Bang Theory Season 10 finale ended on a cliffhanger with Sheldon Cooper, the socially awkward scientist, finally popping the question to his longtime girlfriend Amy.
What prompted him to pop the question was the return of a former flame Ramona and a kiss from her. Sheldon flew all the way to New Jersey to propose to Amy, who had just started a fellowship at Princeton. Fans will have to wait till the next season to find out if Amy accepts his proposal.

A good number of fans believe Amy will be eager to get married to Sheldon, but executive producer Steven Molaro isn't too sure how she will respond.
"On paper, it makes sense that she would say yes, but it's a little complicated," he was quoted as saying by USA Today. "I have versions of the answer that are playing out in my head for us to talk about in the writers room. I think it's good for a show when we pull the trigger on these momentous events even when we don't know if we're fully ready for it. It keeps it exciting."
Jim Parsons, the actor who plays Sheldon, revealed to USA Today that he was surprised when he read the finale script. Speaking about the motivation behind the proposal, Parsons said: "The way it was instigated through this woman who came back into his life, there's something very interesting that he was motivated by that. He didn't need a reminder that he missed (Amy). … Both of us wondered if he wasn't trying to squash some weird feeling that he was uncomfortable with."
The Big Bang Theory will return to CBS in fall.
