This is the third time, Mammootty-Siddhique combination has managed to create such a buzz after the "Hitler" (1996) and "Chronic Bachelor" (2003), which were big successes at the Kerala box office. For Nayanathara, this is the second movie with Siddhique after "Body Gaurd" with Dileep.
Many industry analysts believe that it was a perfect move by the makers of "Bhaskar The Rascal" to release the movie on Vishu and it should be noted that the last big release was Dileep's "Ivan Marydaraman" two weeks ago. Theatres all over Kerala are also experiencing heavy rush and the crowd comprises youngsters as well as families.
Meanwhile, the industry is now waiting to see how the Mammootty starrer is going to perform in its first weekend as Tamil movie "OK Kanmani" starring Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan is set to release on 17 April.
As per reports, the Dulquer starrer has got more screens than the Mammootty flick and it would be interesting to see how father- son battle works out at the box office.
