Bhairava Geetha promotion: Ram Gopal Varma denies reports of rift with Puri Jagannadh

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is busy with the promotion of Bhairava Geetha, has slammed the reports about his rift with Puri Jagannadh, saying that everything is fine between the two.

It is known that Puri Jagannadh started his career as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma and worked with the latter in several Tollywood films. The two have maintained a very good relationship with each other. Whenever he is in town, RGV used to hang out with his protégé. But their friendship was said to have soured after actress Sri Reddy criticised Pawan Kalyan.

Puri Jagannadh was upset with RGV encouraging Sri Reddy to scold Pawan Kalyan's mother for publicity. He was quick to condemn him and extended his support to the power star. In his Telugu post, Puri had written, "I am feeling very bad to see Pawan Kalyan, who gave me life in the film industry, has been deeply hurt today. He never saw him. I do not like RGV's work as long as I live. I support Pawan Kalyan."

Ram Gopal Varma had offered his apology in a video message. It was rumoured that the two have no longer been in talking terms. RGV had used his other prodigy, JD Chakravarthy's office in Hyderabad to promote his film Officer, which hit the screens earlier this year.

It was reported recently that Ram Gopal Varma is using the same office to manage the promotions of his next film Bhairava Geetha. After seeing the reports, the filmmaker took to Twitter to refute them. He shared a photo of a report and wrote, "Fake News..Me and ⁦@purijagan⁩ are as close as we have ever been  (sic)"

However, RGV had earlier announced that Bhairava Geetha would release in the theatres with Aravinda Sametha on October 12, but it was postponed several times. Talking about its delay, he tweeted, "Due to more number of screens availability and other promotion related issues, Siddhartha Thatholu's #BhairavaGeetha is now releasing in Kannada on Dec 7th and in Telugu on Dec 14^th"
