"The Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel is reportedly dating "Modern Family" actor Eric Stonestreet. But the two are yet to open up about their relationship as their romance is yet to reach a serious stage, a new report stated.
It has only been a few weeks since Frankel's alleged relationship with Stonestreet hit headlines and on Thursday, she denied it with a Twitter update, writing: "Can we make a deal? If I get in a relationship I will tell you about it."
"Or i may have to tell @Andy or @TheEllenShow on tv FIRST but THEN i'll tell you LOL," she added.
According to a Radar Online source, Frankel denied the news because her divorce battle with Jason Hoppy was hampering the growth of the new relationship.
"They have been hooking up," an insider confirmed to Radar Online. "But it's not at a serious stage and the major reason is because of Bethenny's divorce. Under the terms of Bethenny and Jason's custody agreement, they are both required to live in the New York City area for their daughter, Bryn."
Rumours of a possible romance between the two surfaced after Stonestreet and Frankel were spotted spending a lot of time together. But because Stonestreet lives in Los Angeles, they are unsure how well a bi-coastal relationship would work, the source explained.
"Eric lives in Los Angeles, so the distance is a problem," the source said. "There is a ton of chemistry between them and they have a lot of fun together. Bethenny wants to take it to the next level but neither one wants to have a bi-coastal relationship."
Frankel is also said to be hesitant to introduce Stonestreet to her daughter until their relationship became serious. "Bethenny is very careful not to introduce boyfriends to Bryn until she is sure that it's going to be a serious relationship. She never wants it to become a revolving door of men coming through Bryn's life," the insider said, adding: "Bethenny goes out to Los Angeles when Jason has custody of Bryn."
