It seems 2012 is going to be the most memorable year for Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor.
Soon after the announcement of her October wedding with beau Saif Ali Khan, there is another good news for the actress.
According to reports, her upcoming film, "Heroine", which was slated for release in mid-September this year has been pushed by a week and is now likely to hit the silver screen on Kareena's birthday.
Well, September 21 will certainly be a big day for the actress as it will not only be her last birthday as a bachelor, but her much-anticipated film will also be released on the same date.
"Heroine" is a women-centric film with Kareena in the lead role and the director has pushed the release date due to a three-way clash with other two big films set to release on the same date.
"The clash wasn't planned at all. When it came to our notice that Bebo's birthday was a week away from the original release date, we took a unanimous decision," Hindustan Times quoted an insider as saying.
Apparently, director Madhur Bhandarkar has on purpose decided to release the film on Bebo's big day to make her feel special.
"We decided to make things special for her (Kareena) with a bit of a reshuffle," director Madhur Bhandarkar told the daily.
He even clarified the rumours about late shooting schedule not being the reason for the delay. "If that was the case, what difference would a week make? "Heroine" is on course. There's no problem at all," he said.
Kareena, who is presently busy wrapping up her shooting schedules to find time for her wedding preparations, says she has worked very hard for the film and is hoping it will do well on the box office.
"I would call it (Heroine) my best work till date. After Jab We Met (2007), I think I have really put my sweat and blood into this film. So what better birthday gift than it coming out on the same day?" Kareena said.
Meanwhile, Saif's mother and yesteryear Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore had confirmed that the wedding is on the card for October 16, this year.
