Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who had a comparatively dull year in 2015, is all set to enthral the audience with his upcoming projects this year. Latest reports suggest the actor will join hands with "Oru Vadakkan Selife" director G Prajith for the movie "Benz Vasu", in which he will play the titular role.
It is understood that veteran director Kamal, who had earlier planned to direct the movie, has handed over the golden chance to direct the superstar to his associate Prajith. The upcoming film is expected to be a complete entertainer by the "Complete Actor". Produced by Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, "Benz Vasu" will go on floors after Mohanlal completes the shooting of his other projects.
Mohanlal is currently working on his Telugu project "Manamantha", directed by National award-winner Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and produced by Sai Korrapati under the banner of Varahi Chalana Chitra Productions. The film has Mohanlal and Gautami Tadimalla in the lead, and marks their comeback after Mani Ratnam's blockbuster hit "Iruvar" in 1997 and Malayalam film "His Highness Abdullah" in 1990.
Reports also suggest Mohanlal will be part of Junior NTR-Koratala Siva's Telugu film "Janatha Garage" as the young superstar's father. He also has to complete the shooting of Vysakh directorial "Puli Murugan", which is one of the most awaited projects of the year. He also has the crime thriller "Oppam", directed by Priyadarshan, and a family entertainer by Jibu Jacob opposite Meena in his kitty.
