In another shocking gangrape in Bengaluru, a 30-year-old woman was reportedly raped by two security guards in Cubbon Park on Wednesday night.
The woman, who is reportedly from Tumkur, had gone to Cubbon Park to seek membership at the the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association.
She was later walking alone in the park when she was accosted by the security guards. They raped her in an isolated area of the park, which is just metres away from the Vidhana Soudha, which houses the State Legislature and the Secretariat of Karnataka.
The two guards have been arrested. A case has been filed at the Cubbon Park police station, as per reports.
The incident is the latest in recent weeks. Earlier this month, a 19-year-old nurse was allegedly raped in a moving bus by its driver at Hoskote.
Last month, a 22-year-old call centre employee was gangraped by two men in Bengaluru.
