The decomposed body of a six-year-old girl, who was missing since April 20, has been found in her neighbour's house in Bengaluru. According to police, the accused burnt the body after raping and murdering her.
The victim lived with family in Veerabhadra Nagar and was studying in a local nursery school.

The investigators have identified the accused as the family's neighbour Anil, who is absconding. The body was found under Anil's cot on Sunday evening.
Anil, a native of Kalaburagi, came to Bengaluru a year ago. He was employed at a stone-crushing unit and was living in a rented accommodation, next to Harshita's house, police said.
A case has been registered with Girinagar police station. More details are awaited.
