A fight between a father and son led to the son gouging out his father's eyes. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

Abishek Chetan and his father have been living in the same house and is the oldest of the three children. The fight erupted over a domestic dispute as the victim wanted to divide the property among his children.

Chetan demanded his father to give the house, which is located in the first phase of JP Nagar in Bangalore, to him. Parameswar, a retired government employee, however, refused.

An angry Chetan then reportedly attacked his father and even gouged out his eyes. He then ran away, leaving the victim writhing in pain. His neighbours rushed him to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

The police have caught Chetan and he is now in police custody. He is booked under charges of attempt to murder and voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.

Parameswar is now undergoing treatment at Prabha Eye Clinic and Research Centre in Jayanagar. According to the Times of India, the doctors say that they are doing their best to retrieve the eyeball which was completely taken out of the socket and restore partial eyesight.
