A man was killed by eight unidentified assailants inside a Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) outlet in the Viijayanagara area of Bengaluru on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as one Mahesh, a 33-year-old resident of the Yeshwantpur area of the city.
Police sources told International Business Times India, that Mahesh was consuming some beverage with his friend Rakshith at the CCD outlet around 7 p.m. on Thursday when eight people entered and assaulted him with rods, resulting in his death.
The Vijayanagara police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating it. Primary probe has revealed that Mahesh had several cases registered against him, and the murder may have been the result of personal enmity.
