Bescom withdraws 4-hour daily load shedding in Bengaluru
With the load shedding in Bengaluru increased to four hours a day from Wednesday, 9 September, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has released the schedule of power cuts in the city.
According to Bescom managing director Pankajkumar Pandey, the load shedding was increased to four-hour daily from the earlier three-hour schedule as there is a 35% shortage of power.
The power cuts have been caused by a weak monsoon as well as the annual maintenance work being carried out by major central and state generators, a Bescom release states.
