Ben Affleck's son, four-year-old Samuel, had a play date with two of the most photographed children of current times but it didn't end well. The American actor's son had to nurse a common cold after acquiring some royal germs from Prince George.
"I can now tell him that he got a cold from the King of England!," Affleck told Graham Norton on the BBC1 talk show.
In any case, Affleck seemed happy that his son had his moment with the British royals, Prince George and Princess Charlotte at an indoor play park because the Accountant actor said the royals were nowhere to be found at all the other locations — the Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle or the Tower of London, which the family visited.
Affleck, who is currently in London filming Justice League, told the talk show host that his trip to the UK's capital also included watching the Change of Guard ceremony at the Queen's London residence.
"Now if it was in America — and I hate to admit this — you'd get a VIP pass. You'd get backstage and they would accommodate you. So I got a tour guide thinking this guy will accommodate me but that wasn't the case!," Affleck said.
The actor, along with his children Violet, Seraphina and Sam and their mom, Jennifer Garner, were taken to the middle of the street instead.
"...We were so far away not only couldn't we see the guard, we couldn't see the fence! We were surrounded by 50,000 tourists looking for selfie opportunities and we never saw the guards change! It was a disaster!" Affleck said.
