Jennifer Garner might be out of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Ben Affleck's life, but he is trying to get involved, albeit professionally, with another Jennifer.
According to Radar Online, Affleck has his sights on Jennifer Lawrence and he is trying to get her to work with him. "Ben thinks that Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress and he loves her look," an insider told Radar. "Ben wants to do a movie with her," noted the insider, who added that Affleck wants to challenge the actress to do a different kind of movie.
A major reason why Affleck is interested in Lawrence, according to the source, is because the 25-year-old reminds him of Garner who "was once the new 'it' girl."
As for whether the two will eventually work together, the insider revealed that Affleck and Lawrence have been discussing scripts. "He wants to get coffee or lunch with her, and he's trying to do what he normally does, which is to arrange a 'working date' in Ventura," outside Los Angeles, "in order to stay off the radar."
Affleck's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" released March 25 and it is doing well at the box office, with worldwide collection approaching $500 million. While his professional life seems to be on a high, the drama in Affleck's personal life has been making headlines for the past several months.
Several reports claim that Affleck's divorce with Garner has taken an ugly turn, and Tuesday Radar Online reported that multiple moving trucks were spotted outside the $45 million home that the couple shared with their three children.
Talking about the ordeal of splitting from her husband of more than a decade, Garner said during her appearance on the Today Show that going through with a divorce in the public eye isn't easy. "It's not easy to go through it — period," the actress said on Today, according to Radar. "I have found going through it in the public eye, it's just another facet of it. But for anyone, when your life shifts in any way, it's tricky enough."
The couple has three children -- Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel -- together.
