Noted Telugu film producer Bellamkonda Suresh has reportedly filed a cheating case against "Current Theega" director G Nageswara Reddy at the Banjara Hills police station in Hyderabad.
In his complaint, Bellamkonda Suresh has accused G Nageswara Reddy of breach of contract. The producer claims that the director had promised to do a movie for him three years ago and had also taken an advance amount of ₹25 lakh from him. Neither he has directed a film, nor returned the money.
The police registered a case against Nageswara under IPC Section 420 for cheating and 406 for criminal breach of trust. "The complainant alleged that he had given the money in 2011, and reached an agreement that the director would work on one of his projects. However, the project was dropped, and Nageswara Reddy did not pay back the money," Deccan Chronicle quoted a police official as saying.
It was recently reported that Bellamkonda Suresh was in a legal problem sometime back. Actress-turned-producer Lakshmi Manchu had filed a case against him, claiming that the producer had used Gandharva Mahal for the shooting of his recent release "Rabhasa" starring Junior NTR, but refused to pay the rent of ₹58 lakh.
However, Bellamkonda Suresh had a different say on this whole issue. He had said that he had given advance amount to Lakshmi's brother Manchu Manoj to do a film for him. When the actor failed to do a film, he had asked Lakshmi to take the money from her brother and settle the rent for Gandharva Mahal.
A few months after the issue was settled, Suresh has once again gotten involved in a legal dispute with G Nageswara Reddy, who belongs to the gang of Mohan Babu's family and has also done movies such as "Dhenikena Ready" with Vishnu Manchu and "Current Theega" with Manoj. The director is yet to make a comment about Suresh's complaint.
