Bollywood movie Befikre, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, has received decent response at the Indian box office on its opening day. Its first day collection is expected to be in double digits.
Befikre is one of the most-awaited big-ticket Bollywood movies of 2016 and has made it to the headlines several times for the right reasons. Its promos had set right trends for its release. In addition, the makers of the film had shelled out a hefty sum of Rs 15 crore for its massive publicity and its lead pair -- Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor – appeared on several TV shows to promote the film.
The distributors made grand arrangements for its release and booked over 2100 screens in the domestic market. The huge hype and promotion helped Befikre record a decent advance booking for its opening day. After considering the trends, trade experts predicted it would have a good opening at the ticket counters across the country.
The Aditya Chopra-directed romance drama witnessed a good amount of footfalls at cinema halls across the country in the morning shows and its average occupancy ranged between 45 to 50 percent. Befikre also ran to packed houses in some centres. Most of the viewers were reportedly in the age group of 20 to 30 and they are all praise for Ranveer and Vaani.
Befikre has received mixed talk from the audience, but most have positive things to say about it. When compared to its morning shows, the movie has very good advance booking for its afternoon and evening shows. The word of mouth is expected to boost its business further in these shows.
