Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor-starrer Befikre has been running successfully at the box office with its collection being steady over the first weekend.
Befikre completed 3 days at the box office on Sunday. The movie had collected over Rs 21 crore in its first two days. Befikre's collection witnessed a jump on Sunday, taking its domestic earning close to Rs 35 crore in 3 days.
Having released in 2100 screens, Befikre had collected Rs 10.36 crore on its opening day. Ranveer's movie had made a limited growth on Saturday, collecting Rs 11.60 crore and took its 2-day business to Rs 21.96 crore nett.
Keeping the pace steady, Befikre collected Rs 12.40 crore on Sunday, taking its nett domestic earning to Rs 34.36 crore. "#Befikre Fri 10.36 cr, Sat 11.60 cr, Sun 12.40 cr. Total: 34.36 cr [2100 screens]. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
With no other major release on next Friday, except Wajah Tum Ho, Befikre is likely to make good money at the Indian box office in coming days.
However, Aamir Khan's Dangal will hit the screens on December 23 and that will definitely affect the collection of Befikre. The Ranveer-starrer should be able to earn big bucks before the release of Dangal.
Directed by Aditya Chopra, Befikre is a modern-day love story. The film has been in news for the multiple kissing scenes as well as Ranveer's bare-butt stunt. The movie had received mixed reviews from critics but looks like it has been getting strong word of mouth.
