Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson looked unrecognisable at the premiere of 120 Battements Par Minute at Cannes and this has sparked speculation that she has had work done on her face.

Anderson looked stunning on the red carpet in a black gown that flaunted her slim figure, but it was her face that stole the attention. With her hair pulled back, the 49-year-old looked completely different.

Anderson is best known for playing CJ Parker in Baywatch. She is set for a cameo in the movie reboot starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra among others.

In recent times, Anderson has been in the news for her alleged romance with Wikileaks' Julian Assange.

"My relationship with Julian … it's no secret, he is one of my favorite people — and he might be the most famous, most politicized refugee of our time," she wrote in a blog post in March. "Julian is trying to free the world by educating it. It is a romantic struggle — I love him for this," she added.

"Julian Assange is the most intelligent, interesting, and informed man in existence," she wrote. "Yes - I think he's quite sexy.

"He has tremendous strength and stamina- though vulnerable. Hard to imagine him that way - as capable as he is. But, he is up against the biggest super powers in the world.

"I've spent enough time with him, to be absolutely sure of his intentions - they are good ones. He is on the side of every civilian. And, he is exposing corruption in governments we elect. People need to understand that."
