For the past couple of months, reports have been doing the rounds that television heartthrob Barun Sobti and "Qubool Hai" actress Surbhi Jyoti will be playing the lead pair on an untitled web series to be directed by Gul Khan.
While the fans of the "Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon?" actor are eagerly waiting for the web series, Barun has finally started shooting for the show. Both Barun and Surbhi recently shot for an intimate scene. The director shared a video clip of the actors on her Instagram page.
While Barun and his chemistry with Sanaya Irani on "Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon?" was loved a lot by fans, it remains to be seen if Barun and Surbhi manage to receive similar praises from their fans with this web series.
There were also rumours that popular actor Karan Wahi would be a part of the web series. Apparently, Karan had already done a photo-shoot to promote the series but the actor had refused to divulge any detail regarding the show. "I am not allowed to speak anything about the project right now," Karan had told India Forums.
While Karan refused to comment, Surbhi had earlier told India Forums that she and Barun had a photo-shoot to promote the web series. "Yes, I am doing a web-series with Barun but nothing is finalised yet. We have shot a photo-shoot for the same, but things are not yet confirmed," Surbhi had said.
In other news, Barun will be making a comeback to the daily soap with a new show, "Mohra," which was earlier titled "Satya Ki Kiran." According to reports, the show has undergone some major changes. While it was initially planned to be a finite series of 26 episodes and was said to be aired on weekends, it had been extended to around 128 episodes and will now run daily from Monday to Friday. Also, if the series manages to impress the viewers, it might get extended further.
