Reports coming from Spain suggest that Real Madrid are working on a deal to bring the Colombian defender to the Spanish capital and the fact that Barcelona are also keen to sign him to reinforce their defensive line, Los Blancos will be even more determined to sign him up as soon as possible.
Sanchez started his career at Atletico Nacional and after spending three years with the Colombian club, where he won every possible trophy, the defender signed for Ajax in a five year deal worth €5 million. After he moved to Ajax, Sanchez continued to impress and improve his game and registered five goals in his first season with the club.

Sanchez, who is just 20-years old, is tipped for greatness and having just signed for Ajax on a five year deal at the start of the season, Real Madrid will have to pay a hefty transfer fee to persuade Ajax to sell him.
Apart from obviously wanting to improve their defensive line and sign one of the most promising defenders in the world, Real Madrid also have another reason as to why they want to sign him.
With James Rodriguez mostly set to leave the club in summer after not being given enough first team chances, Real Madrid are afraid that they will lose their Colombian fans. In the hopes of avoiding that, they hope that the signing of Sanchez will help preserve their Colombian audience.
Real Madrid also hope that in the long run, Sanchez will be able to take over from Sergio Ramos at the heart of the Real Madrid defence and probably learn a thing or two from the Real captain, who is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the game.
