The Bangladesh Premier League 2016 final is a case of underdog Rajshahi Kings taking on favourites Dhaka Dynamites for the title. After some serious and competitive cricket of around a month, we have come down to the final of the Bangladesh Premier League, which will be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.

The Dynamites have been consistent, losing the least number (four) of matches in the BPL 2016. They have played some brilliant cricket throughout the competition to justify their favourites tag, and also go into the final as a strong contender. The Kings, who have had a good run in the competition, have nothing to lose in the final, where they will try to play pressure free cricket, which might bring the best out of their players.
Both the teams have some quality players in their ranks, and it is the presence of all-rounders in Dynamites and Kings squad, which makes the contest one to watch out for. If Dynamites have Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo, the Kings are not too far behind with star all-rounders like James Franklin, Samit Patel and Darren Sammy.
The all-rounders could have a big say in the final, but Dynamites and Kings will be hoping for all their players to raise their game for one last time in the final, and help their respective team lift the title.
The Dynamites will look for a solid performance from experienced Kumar Sangakkara, who has looked in good form in BPL 2016. It is in such crunch games, where his experience will come in handy. They will want to see the best of Evin Lewis as an opener, who has it in him to thrash the Kings bowlers all around the park with his hitting skills.
The Kings, besides their all-rounder, have a huge player in the form of Sabbir Rahman, who need to be at his best in the final. The right-hander has not taken the BPL 2016 by storm, but the player can take the attack to the opposition, which the team management are looking from him in the final. It is their bowlers, primarily Nazmul Islam and Kesrick Williams, who will have to improve upon their performance in the final.
Though Dynamites and Kings possess some quality batsmen in their ranks, one should not expect a high-scoring contest. The pitch in Mirpur has not been too easy for the batsmen to score quick runs. But, yes, we can surely expect a close contest in the final.
