The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on 5 September that Bangladesh A team will be touring India for a three-ODI series and a couple of four-day matches against India A.
MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu will be featuring for India A and that will make their side a mixed bag of experienced and young players.
Now the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also decided to send a strong squad for the tour of India. This side will have a number of players who are regulars in the senior national side.
The likes of Soumya Sarkar, Rubel Hossain, Nasir Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Anamul Haque, Arafat Sunny and more will be gearing up for the India A challenge. Mominul Haque will be leading the Bangladesh side on the tour.
India have not forgotten that they had to lose the ODI series against Bangaldesh earlier this year. This will be the time when India A would look to avenge the defeat. Kohli, Raina and Dhoni were part of that losing team and they would be itching to perform against Bangladesh A. This way, they will also get their much needed match practice ahead of the all-important South Africa series.
According to sources, selectors sent a probable list of players to BCB and then they sat with head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe to decide the final squad.
