Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang" turned out to be a blockbuster last year and since then the makers of the film have been mulling a sequel.
However, while the sequel is already in pre-production stage, it has been reported that it will not have the good looking lead pair of Hrithik and Katrina.
The buzz is that Jacqueline Fernandez has been approached to play the female lead role in "Bang Bang 2", replacing Katrina. However, the male lead is yet to be finalised.
Reportedly, Hrithik was keen to be a part of it but as he is busy with Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama "Mohenjo Daro", the honey-eyed actor had no option but to opt out of the sequel.
It remains to be seen who fits into Hrithik's shoes, considering that the actor performed some never-seen-before daredevil stunts in the prequel.
The film will go on floors next year and will be helmed by "Bang Bang" director Siddharth Anand, however, it will not be a continuation of the prequel.
"Like the original, the main character emerge from a mysterious background and the story unfolds through chase sequences," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Ever since Jacqueline starred in Salman Khan's "Kick", she has not looked back. The Sri Lankan beauty recently played an intense role in Karan Johar's "Brothers".
