Bollywood actress Preity Zinta who is known for her bold stand against social malpractices, has once again proved that she is a dauntless woman.
Quite excited to watch Hrithik Roshan's film, Zinta on Tuesday, attended the screening of "Bang Bang", but turned upset before the flick started.
The reason for her anger was when a viewer inside the theatre refused to stand up while the National Anthem was being played prior to the movie, resulting in furious Zinta throwing the person out of the movie hall.
The "Kal Ho Na Ho" actress took to Twitter to express her rage, "#bangbang be4 Bang Bang ! Had2 throw a guy out of the Theater as he refused 2stand up4 our National Anthem! Can u believe it? Now movie time." she tweeted.
However, surprisingly, the patriotic actress - who is currently fighting a tough legal battle against her former boyfriend and businessman, Ness Wadia, for molesting her - didn't receive good responses from the public for her actions in the theatre, instead some even criticised her of being a bully.
The negative Twitter reactions, resulted in Zinta deleting her tweet later.
Last month, a similar incident sparked debate in India, when a student in Kerala was charged with life imprisonment when he refused to stand up while the National Anthem was being played in the theatre.
As a section of viewers protested against the student and his friends, a heated argument started leading to filing a police complaint.
However, as per the rules and regulations of National Anthem, there is no legal obligation for one to stand up while the it is sung. Although it is a civic duty towards the country, it is more of a personal choice.
