Just one schedule into the film and Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez's "Bang Bang Reloaded" (or "Bang Bang 2") is already in trouble. The Malaysia and Thailand schedules have apparently fallen through.
The cast and crew will kick-start the second leg of the film in Mumbai sometime next week, a source told Mumbai Mirror. Sidharth and Darshan Kumar are all set to rehearse for a "high-octane" car chase sequence in the city's Worli area.
"They play cadets being mentored by Suniel Shetty, an ex-colonel. After plans to shoot in Thailand fell through due to budgetary constraints, the team felt that Worli village was perfect location for the shoot," the source further revealed.
Sidharth and Darshan play arch rivals, who were once friends and part of the same gang, in the film. They apparently do not get on well because of their conflicting personalities.
However, Fox Star Studios, the production house backing "Bang Bang Reloaded," isn't completely decided on the film's shooting schedules. After the team has wrapped up the Mumbai chapter, the producers will take a call on whether or not the rest of the film should be shot abroad.
A few months ago, Hrithik Roshan's expressed displeasure over reports of Sidharth replacing the superstar in "Bang Bang" sequel. But the "Baar Baar Dekho" star made it clear that he has signed an action film for sure, but it isn't titled "Bang Bang 2."
"It is an action film with Fox, so let's see if they plan to make it a part of Bang Bang franchise or no. But I promise you that the story has nothing to do with 'Bang Bang,'" Sidharth told Catch News.
"Bang Bang 2" is an intense action film, which also has a healthy dose of comedy. Sidharth had to train in martial arts to play the part to perfection. Also, for this Raj Nidimoru-Krishna DK directorial, producers have reportedly approached a few internationally renowned stunt coordinators.
