Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally spilled the beans on the story and his role in his 100th movie. The actor says he will be seen playing the historic role of Gautamiputra Satakarni in the film.
Balakrishna's forthcoming movie is going to be a landmark film in his career and the actor is personally taking care of everything to make it his notable contribution to the industry. Nandamuri family fans are eagerly waiting to know about his role and story of his 100th film. Several speculations about them were made, but nothing came out true or official.
Now, the actor himself has opened up on his character and his revelation comes at the birth day bash of his one-year-old grandson Nara Devansh in Hyderabad Monday. His 100th movie will be a historical film, based on the life of Satakarni, the third of the Satavahana kings, who ruled the Deccan region of India around 180 BCE.
The actor-turned-politician is confident of winning an Oscar award for his character in his landmark film. "In my next film I am playing the historic character of Gautamiputra Satakarni...I am growing a moustache for the role. I am confident that the film will definitely get an Oscar," the Deccan Chronicle quotes him telling the guests at the birthday bash.
The names of several leading directors were linked with this project. But, if we are to go by the report, Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi would be directing this period film. Not much is known about the details of its cast and crew.
