Two magnum opus films "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Baahubali" will clash at the box office during Eid in July this year. While "Baahubali" is a Telugu film, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is a Bollywood film, but the hype surrounding both the films is high.
However, the lead actress of "Baahubali", Tamannaah Bhatia, believes that Salman Khan starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will not affect her film at the box office.
It's a known fact that Salman Khan rules at the box office during Eid, and this year too his movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is expected to be a sure-shot blockbuster. The film directed by Kabir Khan is releasing on 15 July, five days after "Baahubali" release.
But Tamannaah feels that the content of the film decides its fate at the box office. In an interview to an entertainment website, Tamannaah said if the film is good, then the audience will watch it irrespective of other releases.
"I feel if the film is good, people will watch it eventually. But if it is a bad film, it will still do bad irrespective of competition at box office. It is really nice that a lot of filmmakers down south have respected Baahubali and have decided not to release their film. If the film reaches out to audience the way we imagine it to, I don't think there would be any problems," she told BollywoodLife.com.
"Baahubali" is a Telugu film, but will be released in Tamil and Hindi languages on 10 July in India. Karan Johar acquired the rights of S.S.Rajamouli's film and thus the hype surrounding the film is higher in other regions as well.
But it remains to be seen, whether Salman's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will affect the Baahubali" at the box office this July.
"Baahubali" features an ensemble cast starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep.
