Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" trailer has garnered over 5 million hits on YouTube in less than a week of release, and fans have been going gaga over the superstar's new tamed avatar. But it has left one man unhappy.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui was reportedly not too pleased with his blink-and-miss appearance in the minute-long teaser.
"Nawaz plays a key role in the film and was disappointed with the trailer. He just had one punch line and thought it was too little. After the trailer released, he got in touch with director Kabir Khan who assured him that he will be given more prominence in the next trailer, which will be out in a fortnight. He has agreed to wait for the time being but he is clearly upset," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.
Siddiqui has worked with Salman in "Kick" and had then said he never felt overshadowed by the superstar's presence. Even in their upcoming film, the two have reportedly spent a lot of time interacting with one another post-shoot.
Interestingly, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays Salman's love interest in the Kabir Khan directorial, too doesn't have much screen space in the trailer.
In other news, Siddiqui plays a Pakistani journalist in the film and has a very significant role in it.
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" revolves around the story of a little girl gone astray in India and how she is reunited with her family in Pakistan. Scheduled to release on 17 July, the makers have put out the first song "Selfie Le Le Re" and it's already a hit on social media.
