Shah Rukh and Salman Khan have buried the hatchet and both are now friends. Just when it was thought that their relationship would be limited to the friendly Twitter banter, reports indicate the two might share screen space in Yash Raj Films' next.
"The script is ready and both the superstars have liked it. However, the female lead is yet to be finalised. The details will be revealed when Adi decides to make an official announcement. But as of now, both the actors seem enthused about their on-screen reunion," Mid Day quoted a source as saying.
The insider further elaborated that Ranveer Singh was being considered earlier, but apparently Aditya Chopra thought it would be wise to rope in the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" star instead as their on-screen reunion would reap major box office profits.
"It is the same film for which Ranveer Singh was earlier being considered. Adi felt that the Shah Rukh-Salman combo would work wonders at the box office and so, he decided to sign Salman instead of Ranveer. Shah Rukh has already given his nod to him," the source added.
However, since the makers haven't made any official announcement as yet and have reportedly asked publications to refrain from indulging in casting speculations, this can, at best, be considered a rumour.
In other news, it's being said the "Raees" vs "Sultan" clash has been averted. Salman, who now goes all out to express his fondness for his good friend SRK, has reportedly spoken to YRF to push the dates to Diwali 2016.
"Both have a massive fan following and do not want the audience to be divided. So, Salman has now decided to come on Diwali," an insider confirmed the news to the leading daily.
Together, they have done a handful of films like "Karan Arjun", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega", "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam" and a dance number in "Om Shanti Om".
