The phenomenal run of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" at the box office is not the only reason keeping director Aanand L Rai happy.
Talking to DNA, the ace filmmaker confirmed his intention of roping in Salman Khan for one of his upcoming projects, which was said to have been shelved.
"Salman and I are doing a film together. We have discussed a project and I will start planning for the same. The project was never shelved. Bhai is a busy man. We haven't yet locked his dates. But he has heard the story and he liked it. He has okayed it," he further elaborated.
Since the director comes from a middle class background, the film will be desi too. What's interesting is, the superstar will be seen playing a dwarf on the big screen. However, nothing has been confirmed till now as Aanand is yet to meet the actor with a solid plan.
"I will start with the scripting in about a month or so. Then, we will see when he can give dates. Right now, we have just discussed it. The script needs to be finalised, dates have to be locked. So I can only talk about it in detail two months from now. But this film will happen," he said, adding he isn't sure if it would be his next.
In other news, Salman's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" teaser is scheduled to release on Thursday, and the flick is slated for an Eid release. Bits of Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" remains to be finished, in which he will be seen alongside Sonam Kapoor. Salman has Yash Raj Films' "Sultan" in line.
