Salman Khan's "Sultan" has been in the news lately. While speculations were rife that "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" would either romance Deepika Padukone or Kangana Ranaut in the Yash Raj Films production, reports have now emerged that Parineeti Chopra has been pulled on board.
"Pari's always been a YRF favourite; the choice was not surprising. Aditya (Chopra) was angry with Kangana for talking about the film. He immediately called her up and got her on board. Obviously, Pari won't say no to her mentor!," DNA quoted a source as saying.
However, it was reportedly not too difficult to get Chopra to do the film because she has a key role in it. Like Salman, she too will play a wrestler, for which she is training herself.
"She never would have, had her role not been meaty. Like Salman, the leading heroine is also a wrestler in the film. Sultan is not about glorifying Salman. So it was not too difficult to get Parineeti say yes. She is now training hard to perfect the nuances of the character and also look like a wrestler," added the source.
Since there has been no official announcement on the development yet, this can, at best, be considered as a speculation.
In other news, Salman has resumed Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" shooting and is apparently on a strict workout regimen for "Sultan". Word has it, the actor will be seen in a lean avatar and play a 40-year-old wrestler.
Additionally, the superstar will release "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" trailer on 18 June in Mumbai.
