Following arch rival Shah Rukh Khan's footsteps, Salman Khan is all set to shoot in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir for his upcoming film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan.
"The Kabir Khan directorial, which will start its first schedule from October last week-November first week will have a month long schedule in Kashmir," stated a DNA report.
Since Salman will be simultaneously shooting for "Bigg Boss 8", he has reportedly made a request to the filmmaker to shoot major portions of the film at once. Apart from Kashmir, it will also be shot in Punjab and Rajasthan.
Shah Rukh, who has shot extensively in Kashmir for Yash Chopra's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", was reportedly in awe with the picturesque location. Now, it remains to be seen how Salman reacts to the heavenly Kashmir.
A few months ago, talking about her script and the role, Kareena revealed that she would be playing a Brahmin girl in the film. "I loved the film (script) and my role. While Salman will play the title role of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I am playing a Brahmin girl," she told PTI.
Having worked with Salman earlier, the actress added that it's always "fun" to work with the superstar. "It's always fun to work with Salman. We share good rapport. Also, Salman and I make a lovely pairing. It will be a big Eid release and it works for us. The film worked in my time-frame and hence I said yes for it."
Interestingly, reports suggest that Salman's role in the film will not have anything to do with politics. Kabir is known for touching politics in all his past films, but he will take a different route with "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
"In fact, Phantom too is said to be quite close to the current affairs with a global angle to it. However, he is taking a complete shift with Bajrangi Bhaijaan," Financial Express quoted a source.
Blocked for a 2015 Eid release, the film is Salman's second outing with Kabir after "Ek Tha Tiger", which made fresh records and gave the director his first ever commercial hit.
