Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will beat the lifetime box office collection record of Aamir Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer "PK", according to fans.
Salman starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has already crossed Rs 300 crore mark at the box office with its net collection. The film directed by Kabir Khan is Bollywood's second highest grosser of all time and is now looking forward to beat the records of the highest grosser "PK".
However, the fourth week box office collection of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will decide its fate, whether it will beat the records of "PK" or not. Adding its fourth Friday (22-day) box office collection, the earnings of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" now stands at over Rs 303 crore.
However, viewers are confident that Salman's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will beat "PK" record. IBTimes India conducted a poll asking whether "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will emerge as Bollywood's highest grosser and around 67 percent people voted saying that it will beat the record.
Meanwhile, the success of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has lifted the shares of Eros International, a global distributor of the film. Eros International had three back-to-back hits with 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns", "NH10" and now "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" cost of production is approximately Rs 90 crore and after earning more than Rs 300 net income from the domestic box office, the return on investment for Eros would be more than 50 percent.
"The movie was made at a cost of Rs. 90 crore and should result in a 50 per cent return on investment for Eros," NDTV reported quoting brokerage Maybank.
The all time blockbuster film of 2015 also features Harshaali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles.
