Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has refused to slow down at the box office even in its second week. The film directed by Kabir Khan minted Rs 9.30 crore and with a slight fall on Tuesday, it raked in Rs 9.10 crore.
Generally, the collections of the films drop in its second week, but "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has shown a strong hold at box offices worldwide.
"#BajrangiBhaijaan refuses to slow down. Wk 2: Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 19.25 cr, Sun 24.05 cr, Mon 9.30 cr, Tue 9.10 cr. Total: ₹ 259.12 cr. ATBB," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has now achieved the "all time blockbuster" status in India.
The film has already become Salman and Kareena's highest grosser. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is also the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2015, beating "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" record and the first film of this year to cross Rs 200 crore mark. It is also the third highest grossing Bollywood film of all time in India.
And now it is eyeing to take the second spot in the all time grosser lists. The 12 days box office collection total of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" stands at Rs 259.12 crore and if it continues it strong hold at the ticket window, it will become the second highest grosser by its third weekend itself.
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" requires more Rs 25.15 crore in two days to beat "Dhoom 3" and become the second highest grosser.
Meanwhile, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is leading ahead of "PK" with its second week total. The second week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) total of the highest grosser "PK" is approximately Rs 63.55 crore, while "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is estimated to be Rs 65 crore, according to Box Office India.
