Aditya Chopra is set to get back to directing films after a hiatus of seven years, and his next may feature two very interesting actors.
Titled "Befikre", the film could star Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, states a Filmfare report.
Together, they have done three films so far – "Band Baajaa Baaraat", "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl" and "Dil Dhadakne Do".
In other news, Aditya's way of announcing his next was rather heart-warming. On father and late director Yash Chopra's 83rd birthday (27 September), Yash Raj Films took to Twitter to share a could-have-been father-son conversation.
In the letter, Aditya talks at length about the process, which led him to think he could finally direct a film. "It's just very different to any of the films I have directed so far. Till now, all the films I have directed or written have been intense, dramatic and emotional. This one is just a light-hearted romance, nothing more," says the filmmaker.
In other news, Anushka is in London shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in key roles.
Ranveer will spend next few months promoting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani". Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra will join him on the campaign. Set to release on 18 December, the film is headed for a box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Dilwale".
