If the latest reports on the internet are anything to go by, popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj is readying a new track focused Super Sports Pulsar range for the Indian market that would hit the roads in 2016.
A report in MotorOctane claims that Pune-based bike maker will be rolling out 200cc and 400cc Super Sports Pulsars in the coming years as the company is now focusing on the track-spec models. The rumoured Pulsar SS200 will be a different entity from Pulsar RS 200, including the design and styling, and is likely to enter the market by 2016.The launch of Pulsar SS200 is likely to be followed by SS400.
Bajaj will also launch its Pulsar CS 400 in India next year. Pulsar CS 400 is speculated to come with 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple spark engine and a six-speed transmission with fuel injection. In India, the bike is likely to be priced in the range of ₹1.7 to ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
A previous report had indicated that Bajaj is also readying Pulsar CS200 with the same 199.5cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine of Pulsar RS200, which can pump in 25.3 PS of power and 19.2Nm of torque.
